Solyndra is a bankrupt U.S. solar panel company that raised the finance wave of "renewable" energy (i.e., solar photo voltaic, wind, and corn-ethanol). Government loans/grants, utility company costs, utility payments, and huge subsides fund “renewable” energy. Solyndra is the tip of a melting iceberg of many tens of billions of US dollars involved in U.S. and international political waste, fraud, and corruption.
Friday, September 23, 2011, within a U.S. House meeting concerning the government’s Solyndra government loan, Republicans asked such questions as when taxpayers might expect to get their $535 million back, and after several minutes of such questions Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Los Angeles, said badgering witnesses who are taking the fifth amounts to prosecutorial misconduct. The hearing ended shortly thereafter. President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore created the concept of “renewable” energy during the 1990s. From 2000 to president, the U.S. left-Democrat communist political base and anti nuclear movement promoted “renewable” energy as a replacement for coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear energy.
For more than a decade, many tens of billions of US dollars were committed to government “renewable” energy projects. In 2009, President Obama phased out the U.S. nuclear energy sector with his control of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and closure of Yucca Mountain repository. The German government collation followed Obama’s example with its legislated shutdown of the nuclear energy sector and a stated commitment to national “renewable” energy.
Due to unsolvable technical reasons, the problem with “renewable” energy is that it does not work and never has worked. If sold on the stock market, “renewable” energy is political junk stock.
Not everything President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore did to gloss over global warming temperate increase works. That is, “renewable” energy solar and wind does not produce electrical energy for the national grid while corn-ethanol for cars destroys the riparian ways with hypoxia loads, depletes limited capacity ground water aquifers, emits greenhouse gases during manufacturing/distribution, and inflates U.S. and global food costs.
The U.S. House Republicans’ enquire into “renewable” energy is not limited to just Solyndra. Republicans also must look at the many tens of billions of U.S. “renewable” dollars of waste, fraud, and corruption involving national and international energy politics. The Euro-U.S. Neo Communist movement is the “grassroots” promoter of “renewable” energy. The products of “renewable” energy exist because of political promotion, but there is no functional need for “renewable” energy.
The original statements about “renewable” energies were that they would reduce global warming greenhouse gases. However, the promotion of “renewable” energy has not reduced greenhouse gases but has stopped the expansions of nuclear energy. Without nuclear energy, there is no stopping of global warming temperature increase. Earth’s temperature shall exceed +6 °C above preindustrial temperature prior to 2099.
Mother Nature has given us the last warming. Spend money wisely now on effective global warming mitigation.
To avoid greater dangerous global warming:
No national leader has attempted to establish a viable national response plan to counter global warming temperature increase. No nation maintains a viable organization to respond to global warming temperature increase.
The November 2012 election determines the fate of human races. Be prepared.

With the 2010 understanding of global warming, while not fully considering increasing atmospheric methane (CH4) considerations, to have any reasonable 75% chance of keeping the global warming temperature rise below +2 °C — global carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) need to peak global greenhouse gas equivalent emissions (CO2-eq) by 2015-2020, and fall at least 16% worldwide by 2030 (based on 1990 levels). Additional global human and natural greenhouse gas emission-reductions are necessary beyond 2050 towards a zero carbon economy by the end of the century. To remain below a +1.5 °C threshold requires greater earlier reductions of human global carbon dioxide emissions.
